The four stars represent the four island states of Micronesia: Yap, Chuuk, Pohnpei, and Kosrae.
Micronesia consists of over 600 islands scattered across the western Pacific Ocean — an area larger than the continental USA!
Micronesia is famous for Chuuk Lagoon, one of the world's best wreck diving sites with over 60 sunken WWII ships.
The island of Yap uses giant stone discs called Rai as a traditional form of currency — some are over 3 metres wide!
