Blue stands for the sky, the Atlantic Ocean and water, red for the people and their courage, white for peace and unity, and green for plants and farming.
Namibia has the Namib Desert, one of the oldest and driest deserts in the world, with some of the tallest sand dunes on Earth.
Namibia gained independence from South Africa in 1990 and adopted this flag at the same time.
