🌍 Flag facts
Green represents the forests and agriculture of the Congo.
Yellow represents the friendship and nobility of the Congolese people.
It is the only Pan-African flag to use a diagonal pattern — all others use horizontal or vertical stripes.
The flag was adopted in 1959 and restored in 1991 after a period when a red Marxist flag was used instead.
