The blue stands for happiness and peace, the yellow for economic growth, and the green for prosperity and hope.
Rwanda is known as the "Land of a Thousand Hills". It is one of the most hilly and mountainous countries in Africa.
Rwanda is one of the few places in the world where you can see mountain gorillas in the wild. The flag was adopted in 2001 as a symbol of unity.
