Togo is a long, narrow country in West Africa — it is only about 56km wide at its narrowest point.
Green represents the forests and agriculture, yellow represents mineral wealth, and red represents national love and fidelity.
Togo adopted this flag on 27 April 1960, the day it gained independence from French rule.
