🌍 Flag facts
The big cross is the cross of St George — the patron saint of Georgia.
It's known as the Five Cross Flag. The design was used in medieval Georgia and brought back in 2004.
Georgia is thought to be the birthplace of wine — people have made it there for about 8,000 years.
The Caucasus Mountains run across Georgia and include some of the highest villages in Europe.
