The green star is Sulayman's seal — its five points are often said to stand for the five pillars of Islam.
Before 1915 the flag was plain red — the star was added so it wouldn't be confused with other flags at sea.
Morocco stretches from the Sahara desert to the snowy Atlas Mountains — you can ski and ride a camel in the same country!
Red has been the colour of Moroccan royal dynasties for hundreds of years.
