🌍 Flag facts
The shield is split into four parts, one for each of Andorra's historic rulers — a bishop's mitre and crook, the three stripes of Foix, the four stripes of Catalonia, and two cows for Béarn. The pictures are left out here to keep it colourable.
Andorra has two heads of state at the same time — the President of France and a bishop from Spain. It's the only country in the world run this way.
Andorra is a tiny country high in the Pyrenees mountains between France and Spain, and its capital is the highest capital city in Europe.
The real coat of arms has a scroll underneath reading "VIRTVS VNITA FORTIOR" — Latin for "strength united is stronger".
