🌍 Flag facts
The sun is the Sun of May, named after the May Revolution of 1810 that started Argentina's journey to independence. On the real flag it has a human face.
Count the rays and you'll find 32 — sixteen straight ones and sixteen wavy ones, taking it in turns all the way round.
The flag was created by Manuel Belgrano in 1812, and the sun was added six years later in 1818.
Aconcagua, in Argentina, is the highest mountain anywhere outside Asia at nearly 7,000 metres.
