🌍 Flag facts
The flag has seven stars — six in the red border and one in the middle. They stand for Grenada's seven areas, called parishes.
The shape on the left is a nutmeg, a spice. Grenada grows so much of it that it's nicknamed the 'Island of Spice'.
The colours have meanings: red for courage, yellow for sunshine and wisdom, and green for the island's farms and forests.
Grenada is a small island country in the Caribbean Sea. It became independent from Britain in 1974.
