The colours each have a meaning: black for the people of Africa, red for the blood shed for freedom, and green for Malawi's evergreen nature and land.
Malawi is home to Lake Malawi, one of the largest lakes in Africa. It's nicknamed the 'Lake of Stars' and is full of colourful little fish called cichlids.
Malawi is known as the 'Warm Heart of Africa' because its people are famous for being so friendly and welcoming.
