🌍 Flag facts
The white peak in the shield is Mount Triglav, the highest mountain in Slovenia. It's such an important national symbol that it's said every Slovenian should climb it once.
The wavy lines under the mountain stand for Slovenia's rivers and its short coastline on the Adriatic Sea.
The three gold six-pointed stars come from the coat of arms of the old Counts of Celje, a powerful noble family from Slovenia's history.
Slovenia is a small, very green country in central Europe. It's famous for its beautiful Lake Bled, its caves, and for having more beekeepers per person than almost anywhere else in the world.
