🌍 Flag facts
The flag has a Nguni shield lying across two spears and a fighting staff. The black and white shield shows black and white people living together in peace, and it stands for protection of the country.
The colours have meanings: red for battles of the past, yellow for the country's mineral riches, and blue for peace.
The blue tassels hanging from the staff are called injobo. They are made from feathers and are worn by the king on special occasions.
Eswatini used to be called Swaziland. It changed its name in 2018. It's one of the smallest countries in Africa and is ruled by a king.
