Nepal has the only national flag in the world that isn't a rectangle! It's made of two triangular pennants stacked on top of each other.

The moon at the top and the sun at the bottom stand for hope that Nepal will last as long as the sun and moon. They also stand for the cool weather in the mountains and the hot weather in the lowlands.

Nepal is home to Mount Everest, the highest mountain on Earth. Eight of the world's ten tallest mountains are in Nepal!

The crimson red is the national colour of Nepal and the colour of the rhododendron, its national flower. The blue border stands for peace.
