🌍 Flag facts
The real flag has a golden Zimbabwe Bird in the triangle, based on soapstone bird carvings found at the ancient ruined city of Great Zimbabwe. It's the national emblem and gives the country its name.
There's also a red star behind the bird, standing for hope and the country's wish for peace and a bright future.
Green stands for farming and the land, gold for mineral wealth, red for the blood shed in the struggle for independence, and black for the people of Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe is a country in southern Africa, home to the mighty Victoria Falls — one of the largest waterfalls in the world — and huge herds of elephants in its national parks.
